2 sigma jobs12/2/2023 ![]() 90 minutes where one problem was pretty easy, and the second was crazy difficult. Also similar to yours, 2.5 hours left after tidying up/commenting and passing all cases. It was 3 hours for a straightforward BFS and then a longest-path-DAG DP problem, where the graph construction was a little nontrivial. The first one was pretty easy, and it was similar to the one you mentioned. Interesting I actually had two HR's with them due to a weird recruiter mix-up. Contrast that with Uber where their interviewer missed the interview and they never rescheduled me. Like when my dumb-ass missed the interview and they let me reschedule. I also think I was in the absolute last wave of on-site intern interviews, so honestly I'm not going to lie there's a fair amount of luck involved in the process. Based on this, I don't think Two Sigma is interested in interns that they can't give a full-time offer to for the immediate next summer. It's worth noting that I think every single intern candidate at my on-site was in their third year of college. In summary: know your data structures and algorithms really well because you will have to solve a good number of problems of that type. Interestingly this was enough to survive to the behavioral interview which was mostly behavioral and they tossed another Leetcode medium at me. I did pretty well on the first problem, but only passed 3/4 test cases within the hour on the second question.
